There was just enough wood

for one last small one.

full of lavender outside No.5.

The weather this spring

makes these christmas cherries

seem quite appropriate.

This style of planter

is proving quite popular,

The third of its type

outside No.7

Generous property developers

have squeezed a small studio apartment

into a space at the end of the road.

would suit a single, homeless bird.

Another New Planter

In the Row.

They are springing up all over

It's almost as if this wood grows on trees.

Had to replace planter

after only nine years

hopefully this one will last longer.

The message on the back of this post card

from Charlie in London to Ruby in Brighton reads :

Dear Ruby will you please meet me at the corner of Holbeck Row

on sunday morning and I will Give you a suck of my toffee apple.
